Had a great opportunity to see one of our buildings in action. We worked with the client to make their addition and garage form a courtyard for their pool. The garage has a side entrance and a back porch offering cover from the midday sun and the occasional afternoon rain shower. We utilized attic trusses for a future hobby room overlooking the pool. Thoughtful design is always part of the process

Our rear sunroom addition was able to be engineered to rest on a series of masonry piers rather than a full foundation wall which allowed the walkout basement to still get light and as a bonus we took opportunity to make an outdoor covered patio space to enjoy those evenings at home.

The kitchen was only part of the story on this main level renovation and sunroom addition. With some soaring volumes at the living spaces we were able to funnel light into the center of the house and provide nearly a whole wall of glass overlooking the wooded landscape. The foyer stairs lead to a bridge connecting the upper level private spaces where we were able to raise the ceiling at the kitchen. Photos by @mindieballwell
