This kitchen addition is on a tight lot where we have a 3 foot sideyard setback which does not allow for windows due to fire rating. Our solution was to bring light in from the ceiling and give more cabinet space to that side of the room

Corner lots provide opportunity to demarcate the entrance. This home has its main entry off the side street porch and will have an addition on the back with a mudroom entrance directly to the yard and side gate. Orienting the view from the addition to the yard instead of the street helps to add privacy. #homeaddition #rva #residentialdesign
